Job Description
The Research Editor/Copyeditor’s primary function is to ensure the written quality of the organization’s research documents. Job scope includes: Proof reading, language editing and formatting of documents; Data checking and analysis and ensuring data integrity; Posting editing feedback to analysts. This is a role ideal for a native English speaker with solid language and grammar fundamentals, and for an individual seeking a flexible schedule. As a contract role, compensation is on a per page basis. It provides flexibility in the time committed and earnings potential.
Required Experience:
At least 2 years experience working for equivalent publishing sector specializing in editing, data checking and proof reading, or related area.
This Job Requires the Following Skills:
Numerically literate, patient, meticulous, and disciplined – solid analytics and detail-driven; Strong written and verbal fluency in English, additional Asian languages considered advantageous an a plus; Copes well under pressure, particularly with deadline and multiple competing demands; MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint intermediate level experience required; Ability to handle pressure situations and have a positive mindset towards achieving objective of research projects; Attention to detail, both qualitative and quantitative, and a strong, self-motivated, independent work ethic; Knowledge of information technology and basic business dynamics is advantageous.
Education Required:
Minimum university or College degree – Mass Communication or English Language degrees preferred.
