Whether you have been living here for two years or 12, moving back to your home country can be challenging. We all understand culture shock, but you may not realize that when moving home, most people experience reverse culture shock. There is a disconnection between family and friends and it takes time to get your footing with new routines and environments. You've changed. Family and friends have changed, too. So you're going home, but home isn't the same. How will you fit in now? How will your kids adjust?
Join us at The American Club over a glass of wine as we discuss the ins and outs of moving home. Daniel and Darren from our annual partner Allied and Dr. Suzanne Anderson from Restorative Community Counselling will lead an informative talk aimed at helping you understand the various impacts of moving back.
